- The plantation buildings along the south bank of Lake Jackson. The foundations of these buildings are the only extant structures.
- The old road connecting Brazoria to Velasco (now Freeport), identified by a dotted line north of the Brazos River. Texas State Highway 332 follows portions of the old Brazoria-Velasco road.
- The Velasco Terminal Railway in the northeast corner of the map; now Union Pacific.
- Brazos River.
- Buffalo Camp Bayou, following its original channel (before it was dammed and rechanneled).
- Oyster Creek, passing under the railway a mile or so north of its present location.

This map can be approximately dated to the period between 1891 (when the Velasco Terminal Railway was chartered) and 1900 (when the 1900 hurricane destroyed the plantation house).
